About Me
My first two years of teaching were in Oakland, and after that I came to King Middle School where I have stayed for over twenty years. I teach history and have an after school Drama Club and a Chess Club that meets during lunch.

I graduated from San Francisco State University with a B.A. in U.S. History and a Single Subject Teaching Credential. My favorite part of history is Reconstruction and Medieval China.
​
I have a 21 year old daughter who has been going to SFSU and has just been accepted into their international exchange program. She is now living in Cardiff, Wales for her final year of college.
​
I live in Alameda with two cats and a flower garden.
​
In my spare time I love to do art projects, garden, go for hikes, travel and hang out with my parents in Nevada City.

This is my cat named Violet. I let them explor the neighbors yards during the daytime, but at night I make them come inside the house because we sometimes get racoons, who can beat up a cat!
